I believe it's from Desert Storm

Which, oddly enough, is also what I call my daily commute.

Complaining of poor taste in this den of delinquents would be the very definition of futility, even though pairing a life-enhancing Jerry Garcia show with a scene of large-scale death and destruction does seem just a tad inappropriate.

But the pop up hook ups were right on the money.

I only realized the origins of said picture after posting it. If you wish to accuse me of poor taste, I'm afraid you will have to get in line.

I suppose I could add a disclaimer:

"The inclusion of the photo depicting the aftermath of military action that potentially resulted in the deaths of many persons is in no way a commentary supporting or condemning said action. The poster of this image is not responsible for...hell, I'm an American, I'm not responsible for anything"

If so, it's probably the aftermath of Gen. Barry McCaffrey's vicious attack on retreating Iraqi forces. One soldier said he felt like he was part of "the biggest firing squad in history."

Well, I have just started to torrent this show from the link on BT and there is one seeder, thanks if you're here. I also haven't got any 81 JGB in my collection, so it's great to hear a recommendation. Looking forward to hearing Catfish John, Tangled Up In Blue and the rest. Cheers.

Even in the early 80's you could see Jerry for < $10. Seems the fatter he got the more expensive tickets got. Coincidence? Hmm...........

You would think that if Jerry had a SPOON in one hand
and a fork in the other it would balance out...

Wineland-
"Price per pound ticketing" ~ lmao. If thats the case then
Blues Travler owes me a refund.

Price per pound ticketing. I like it. Seems Elvis had that figured out too.

Hah! True story. Saw them in '94 at the Roseland in Portland. Still one of the best times I've had at a concert.

Iggy Pop tickets should be dirt cheap.

And they both have famous toilets.

One died on his, and the other had his sold at auction after his death. Looks like Jerry indeed flushed his profits down the shitter.

it was those (early 80's) JGB shows (sometimes with 300 people for $7.50) that I cherish most of everything (100+ dead) I saw

Agreed. I always found the JGB shows I saw to be so much mellower without the frenzied craziness of 80's and on GD shows. Much more enjoyable from an overall experience standpoint. Getting a chance to be in that kind of atmosphere makes me really long to have seen the boys back in the day (you know, WT, before they invented rope...that must have been an exciting day for you).
